The Sun God And The Princess
The princess was standing in the balcony
To offer her usual prayers to the Sun God
Her day starts and ends with parying to him
An idol she worshiped more than anything
With her eyes closed she was praying,
To the majestic ruler of the day.
The Sun God watched her with affection
Her Olive skinned body shimmered in his light
Reflecting all the charms of a temple sculpture.
Presenting an aura of sensual surprise to him she stood,
As a goddess in filigreed silken parasols.
He was so desperate to reach up to her
But was cursed to keep distance,
Oh! Beloved forgive me, I am cursed
I can only watch you from the zenith
The shield of heat deprives me from hugingg you.
I realize the wick of desire burning with in you
But ,Dear I can only watch you from distance
Oh beautiful princess I can hear your heart beats,
The mesmerizing symphony reaches up here,
But I am cursed I can only watch you
Come never near to me my dear ,you will die
As a moth lured to a flame you will be charred,
I cannot invite you in my life’s journey too
Co z I will sink into torpid slumber in the ocean
Forgive me Dear , I am cursed not to love thee.
Oh! King Of all Gods have pity on me ,
Take away the crown of thorn from me
I am in Love with a beautiful princess
Oh! God let me go near her at least once
Let me hold her in my arms atleast once
Let me with her for a moment oh! God
That I can whisper the words of love to her
Let me feel the warmth of her love once
For a life time’s memory to keep
Oh dear the rustle of your clothes makes me mad
The chime of your anklets echoes in my ears
The giggle of your bangles makes me restless
The sound of your gentle laugh burns inside me
I would like to hide myself in your luxuriant hair
For a moment I wished , knowing its only a wish
If I were a Prince who wins you in the war!
I wished if I were a simple man with flesh and blood
That I can hold you in my arms waching sunise and set
I wish if can lay in your lap looking in to your soul full eyes
And want to remain there till the last breath leaves my body.
But dear I am cursed that I can only wish!
